How did you begin your career at Altenar?

After 11 years in Fintech, joining Altenar wasn't an easy decision but it was definitely rewarding. What started seven years ago as a one-person operation has grown into a team of 10 security engineers and analysts working with the latest tech in a great company culture.

What qualities are you looking for when you hire people for your team?

I prioritise attitude above all else because I can teach a process but I cannot change character. I like to hire specialists who can challenge my assumptions and bring fresh perspectives, creating an environment where I learn from my team. I also value ownership and the internal drive.

What are your key work principles?

I can think of a few which I think are all important: professionalism, adaptability, clear communication, teamwork and pragmatism.
