Join Altenar as a Mid-Level .NET Developer and help develop our Altenar Data Feed (ADF) platform. You’ll build and maintain backend services for sports data processing, contribute to new features, and improve system performance and reliability. Work alongside fellow engineers to deliver scalable solutions that support our sportsbook technology.
As a Mid-Level .NET Developer on Altenar’s ADF team, you’ll develop and maintain backend services for our sports data platform. You’ll implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing applications.
You’ll collaborate with fellow engineers to translate product requirements into technical solutions, write and test .NET code, and participate in code reviews. The role also involves contributing to technical discussions, maintaining documentation
Must Have
- Commercial experience developing backend applications with C# and .NET.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.
- Practical experience with asynchronous programming, including Tasks and async/await.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Ability to write maintainable code, create unit tests, and troubleshoot application issues.
- Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, clarify requirements, and communicate technical decisions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with distributed systems or applications that process large volumes of data.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and message brokers such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization in .NET.
- Experience using logging, monitoring, and profiling tools to investigate production issues.
- Familiarity with sports data feeds, odds processing, or sportsbook platforms.
